My daughter is in first grade and reading and math skills are at a middle to end of the year Kindergarten. Her teacher evaluated her at completing 85% of a D level book. I'm not sure the system. I would like to find a 1 on 1 tutor who she can work with once a week , The Orton-Gillingham Approach is preferred. As for math she is scoring about a 100 on the IXL Assessment and they expect her to be around a 200. he explained this as middle of kindergarten level as well.
