We are seeking a patient, engaging Elementary Math Tutor to support a 3rd grader in building confidence and understanding using the new math approach (Common Core). The tutor will assist with homework while strengthening foundational skills through visual strategies, number models, and step by step explanations that align with classroom methods. Responsibilities: Provide one on one tutoring (preferably in person), use multiple problem solving strategies such as number lines, area models, and visual aids, reinforce the why behind concepts, foster a positive learning environment where mistakes support growth, and communicate progress and challenges with parents.
