I am struggling to homeschool my 7 yr old son. We are currently enrolled in a hybrid classical Christian school and are in a classroom on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. For the sake of preserving my relationship with my son, I need to bring in outside help. He has a hard time getting started, retaining information, staying focused and lacks the confidence to do hard things. I have tried everything to connect to his heart, and figure out the best way to teach him in the style with which he learns, and to no avail. I am a seasoned homeschooling mom, with two older children so to say I feel deeply defeated is an understatement.
