Hola! My7-year-old son is a new student at a Spanish immersion school. He has a basic knowledge of Spanish and needs to quickly learn more. Specifically, I'm hoping that the person who tutors him will be able to practice reading with him in Spanish, having him write in Spanish, and do structured conversation with weekly vocabulary words. I am open to evenings during the week or weekend days. For the first two months, I think it may be best for him to see you 2 to 3 times a week. After that, 1-2 times a week would be helpful. I welcome your questions. Thank you for considering this opportunity. I'm looking for someone who has experience teaching the Spanish language to children. It would be ideal if you could pursue a structured approach. If my son really enjoys his lessons, I would be delighted! My son is 7 years old in second grade. He has prior experience taking Spanish classes at the Instituto Cervantes and with a one-to-one tutor when we spent the summer in Guatemala. He is super curious and learns things quickly. He isn't shy and will practice speaking with you immediately. He's a very active person and loves to build things and create art and tell imaginative stories. At our home in Georgetown.
