Ideally the tutor will have experience and training in special needs kids, particularly kids on the autism spectrum. Along with patience, it is important that the tutor has the ability to have fun and keep learning fun. The student is an 11-year-old girl who is creative and precise and has been refusing school. Writing and English class have been particularly challenging for her. The student prefers to learn with one-on-one attention from an adult teacher. She learns particularly well by designing and making mixed media art projects and by caring for animals. Tutoring will happen in person in the home. Street parking available as well as a dedicated driveway spot
