Temporary Private Teacher Position

Looking for a private at home teacher to take over temporarily for the next 3 months while our other teacher is on maternity leave you will be helping with a 15-year-old in the Corona Del Mar area and will need to meet the following requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field or Valid Teaching Credential • Prior experience teaching or tutoring children in a homeschool, classroom, or alternative education setting • Familiarity with multiple learning styles, differentiated instruction, and project-based learning approaches • Ability to design and implement engaging, hands-on lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking • Skilled in adapting or creating curriculum to meet both academic standards and the unique interests of each student • Comfortable adjusting lesson plans and schedules to suit student progress, travel plans, or spontaneous learning opportunities. • Passionate about personalized, student-centered learning • Patient, empathetic, and encouraging toward diverse learning needs • Open-minded and willing to experiment with innovative teaching methods and environments (e. g., outdoor education, field trips, travel learning). • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel occasionally for experiential learning activities • Flexible working hours to accommodate family schedules
