We’re seeking a warm, experienced private educator to support a 15-year-old student for the next three months while our current teacher is on maternity leave. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about personalized, flexible, and engaging learning experiences. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field, or valid Teaching Credential • Experience teaching or tutoring in a homeschool, classroom, or alternative learning environment • Strong understanding of learning styles, differentiated instruction, and project-based learning • Ability to create engaging, hands-on lessons that build curiosity and critical thinking • Skilled in adapting or designing curriculum to student needs and interests • Comfortable adjusting lesson plans for travel, schedule changes, and spontaneous learning opportunities • Patient, empathetic, and committed to student-centered learning • Open-minded and excited about innovative teaching methods (outdoor learning, field trips, experiential education) • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for learning activities • Flexible availability to align with family schedule
