Looking For An In-Person Special Education, English, Math Tutor In El Cerrito.

About the job

Our 10-year-old is in 4th grade in public school in El Cerrito. He was diagnosed in 2023 through Kaiser with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1, Specific Learning Disorder (reading), Speech Sound Disorder, and Unspecified Anxiety Disorder. He is a very hard worker and with an IEP and 504 has made leaps and bounds around reading fluency. He still struggles with comprehension and math is a real struggle particularly multi-step word problems. We are hoping to find someone to work with him on math, reading, overall learning, and executive function skillsincluding supporting him with homework to ensure that he understands the skills being taught. We also want someone to teach him how to develop systems to learn (homework accountability, etc.) that he is resistant to learning from us, his parents.
