I have 2 special needs adopted rescue dogs. My 15 pounder is on medications and needs gentle handling. My 55 pounder is perfect unless he sees or hears a UPS, FedEx, Amazon, Postal Truck, or other similar engine sounding delivery truck, then, he has extreme fear reactivity from past trauma. A handler needs to be cautious if walking him or having him outdoors so that he doesnt get away and chase the truck. He has been through all manners training etc and is otherwise well behaved but delivery trucks really scare him and cause a quick reaction, and he is a physically strong dog. He can pull someone over. I keep him tethered to my waist on walks and advance watch for trucks so that I can do training with him and hopefully avoid any incident. He is a loving, wonderful, smart dog, but any handler would need to be able to handle this.
