I have two dogs: (1) Floyd is a 35-lb Labradoodle, and (2) Grover is a 26-lb Beagle. Both are friendly. Overly so, at times. gets separation anxiety if isn't around. That's why, when I walk him, comes along. He doesn't seem to mind. No special needs.
