I own a male Cockatiel who will need to be kept for a week while I go on a trip to visit family. He is on a pellet and chop diet but if the caregiver is not knowledgeable on parrot diets he can stick to pellets. He goes to bed at 9 p.m. and is woken up at 9 a.m. Pluto is a very friendly- if not slightly entitled- bird. He loves scritches, sitting with his owner, hanging out one shoulders, being bopped up and down, singing, and exploring. He's a very curious bird and tends not to be very afraid of most things. Pluto is fully flighted and will need at the bare minimum 4 hours outside of his cage daily. He needs plenty of socialization time. He is usually very person friendly though is very attached to his mom so he may be difficult to work with. He is trained to step up but can be stubborn, however he will usually obey if offered treats.
