I have a 10yr old Shiba Inu. He went blind last year from glaucoma. He needs a lot of encouragement throughout the entire walk with specific commands. He also tends to sit down during the walk and it can be frustrating. He is a shiba and stubbornness runs rampant in his blood. Pulling will never work and only make him refuse more. Choices would be to wait it out, or I have a technique I can show you that sometimes works... if he says its acceptable. He needs a human eye to so that he doesnt barrell into a tree. Also, he has many food allergies, and though blind, he will find those chicken bones before you do unless you see him looking so attention needs to be paid. If he gets it, he is food aggressive so best to let him keep it. All the rest he is the sweetest shiba you will meet and loves to meet new people.
