A family in West Roxbury is seeking a reliable, responsible and experienced dog sitter for one large rescue dog, 3 yr old, approx 55-60 lbs. Candidates should have a genuine affinity for animals and be comfortable managing a strong dog who may display skittishness around new people and is reactive towards other dogs. Prior experience with these behaviors and dog training expertise/skills are highly desirable. The role may include afternoon visits for supervised outdoor play, exercise and bathroom break in a fenced backyard--limited activities due to prior hip and knee surgeries, latest procedure was in Sep 2024. Additional responsibilities entail overnight care at the owner's apartment (primarily on weekends or during extended vacations), occasional walks (note: additional leash training required), and feeding as needed.
