two house cats need to be checked on (dry food and water and check scoop litter box) once a day when we have to be out of town also, we live on 12 acres with lots of wildlife; we put out 2 small buckets of feed for them and use the hose to fill water buckets (1 in front of the house, 1 behind the house) for them once a day we usually do this late afternoon/early evening before dark each day, but that's flexible
