We want to find someone (or a couple of people) to be a friend to my dad (who has dementia). My husband works from home, and I'm a stay-at-home mom who is in and out w/our teenage kids. My dad won't want to be followed around, so anyone coming in should be his friend and willing to stop and talk with him, go for a walk, help w/a puzzle, help him shower & get dressed, prepare meals, or leave him alone. When not w/him, you'd help w/the house, cooking, and walking dogs. Being able to play the piano or cook vegan meals is a huge bonus. We are looking for a kind person who will become a family friend and help with anything we need when my dad is napping or wants to be left alone. If he thinks you are there to care for him, he will ask you to leave. Please only apply if you can legally work in the US & are willing to pay taxes. Thx!
