Kathryn's favorite thing about music is the power that it has to heal and inspire and her favorite thing about teaching music is instilling a passion for music in my students. One of her favorite teaching experiences was teaching my own three daughters. They began lessons at age 5 and created a band called, The Grumpy Ole Trolls when they were very young. They have been playing as a band for 5 years and my oldest daughter is now only 16. They play at music festivals and events all over Florida. I was taught bass guitar by a Pastor and quickly joined a worship team, after impressively performing in front of thousands during my third time playing my confidence was boosted to the roof. Additionally, I began my teaching journey at the young age of 18, starting with Bible classes for elementary students and teaching bass guitar to one student. Later, I moved to Florida, where I expanded my teaching skills as a School Teacher/Youth Instructor for 8 years. I have taught a wide range of subjects, including music, cooking, arts and crafts, physical fitness, and computer coding.
