Then I continued until the age of 18, when keyboards and synthesizers started to become more popular, and I saw this as a way of being more in demand in the future and switched to studying piano and organ with a private teacher. That was short lived because I could remember the melodies and found it hard to read the page. This would haunt me for many years until I decided to formally study music at local junior and community colleges in the Houston area. Lesson started off with him getting a feel for the music I like ,my goals and my experience. Came up with the perfect lesson to get me started working on hand dexterity coordination and keeping a rhythm. Kept it from becoming a chore by teaching some general knowledge about the Bass, putting notes together and music in general. Nothing overwhelming ,just enough.
