What to expect in class: Taught by amazing Mr. Steven, who is in the Reno Wind Symphony, has a Master's Degree in Music and over 10 years experience teaching children 6 mos - 5 years! Engage your little one in a multi-age music class with songs, rhythm exploration, movement to music and instrument exploration (sanitized between each use). This class provides opportunities not only to learn musical techniques, styles, and about different instruments, but also supports social and emotional development. Cognitive: Music play helps activate parts of the brain responsible for music and speech processing. It creates an early appreciation of music and supports language development. A GROUP of attendees are given the opportunity for a unique experience into the life of a Raptor with an up close and personal encounter with Hawks, Falcons and Owls. With the assistance of a licensed Falconer, you will learn the biology, conservation, field identification, traits, behaviors, natural history, and the importance of raptors. Following a brief instruction guests will be fitted with a gauntlet and join a trained Hawk on a short walk – witness the agility and skill as she flies from perch to perch while swooping back to the Falconer’s gauntlet.
