Take a guided tour of the Waccamaw River learning about the local wildlife, trees and plants along the river with a chance to explore a 48 acre private island. Each tour is different and unique since nature is so unpredictable; as well as different times of the year and seasons brings out various wildlife. But we typically see turtles, fish, non-venomous water snakes, squirrels, cranes, herons, kites, egrets, pileated woodpeckers, baby toads, dragon flies and lizards. Other animals that are a possibility but rarely seen include: deer, bald eagle, wild hogs, river otter, muskrat, beaver, alligator and black bear.

Up to 6 teams of 2-3 people each are guided to a secluded 48 acre private island on the Waccamaw River and will compete in SURVIVOR-style challenges and solve clues. Your Adventure Host will give you all the instructions and be with the teams on the island throughout the challenges.

Rent a kayak or stand-up paddle board to explore the Waccamaw River on your own. Our guides will get you familiar with your equipment and give you instructions on which areas of the river to visit and how to get back to our Outpost. Pack a lunch and paddle down to a secluded sandy beach on the river for a fun adventure. $15/hour per person or $40 per person from 10 am - 5 pm At our 1 acre Outpost you can enjoy fun and games with unique super sized yard games: Jenga, Connect 4, Corn Hole, Domino's, Hook & Ring, and Tic Tac Toe. Other Outpost amenities includes four restrooms and hot showers, a variety of hammocks and swings, fire pit, shaded picnic table areas and propane grill. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch or burgers to cook on the grill. We also have a limited selection of drinks, snacks and ice cream for sale.

You'll take a short boat ride and be dropped off on a private river island to catch the best fish the Waccamaw River has to offer. Here’s what makes it special: Private Island Access – No crowds. Spend the afternoon floating along the beautiful Waccamaw River on an inflatable river tube or kayak. Bring some food and drinks (or grab some from our Snack Shack) to take with you on your trip to explore the river. The duration of the trip can vary between 25 - 45 minutes depending on the flow of the river. You can do 2 - 3 trips during the 3 hour reservation window.
