I have been a student of music for 45 years. My musical influences include Blues and classic rock and I also enjoy Classical. My teaching style can best be described as fun. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want to help you be the best you can be. In my lessons, you can expect to learn confidence and projection. I like to tell my students you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. My students love that I make jokes while we learn. I primarily teach vocal technique, but I can also teach how to read music. He is well versed in classical, jazz, rock and country music. His lessons are fun but also extremely results orientated. He shows his students not just what to practice but how to get the most outof their time by using what he calls"Timed Rehearsal Drills". Parents are encouraged to sit in on any or all lessons. Formal Education: Attended Monroe Community College for one year. Retail Business Management was my major. Private Education: Took Private Lessons with Richard Longale in Rochester New York for about seven years. Took private lessons from Gary Starling at Jacksonville University for a year. Took private lessons from Dr. John Shafer in Jacksonville Florida for about a year. Performing Experience: Played "A Circuit" lounges up and down the Alantic Coast with several different "Variety Bands".
