The mission of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum is to cultivate a rich educational space for the diverse, international community served by, and rooted in, the American Western legacy of Cheyenne Frontier Days. Open 9am-5pm daily, come to learn about the nations second-longest continuously running festival! Be transported into the past, and see how this event has shaped the course of Cheyenne and rodeo history.

Walk through the heart of Cheyenne, discover its rich history and landmarks that have shaped this Magic City of the Plains since its founding in 1876, a city visited by wild west legends and villains from Wild Bill Hickok to Tom Horn. You’ll hear about the city’s history and the tales of the spirts that still lurk here. Go at your own pace, stop and go as you please. The tour is a location aware walking tour that plays automatically as you walk making it hands free and immersive.
