Academic Activities in Guilford, CT

This week we’re learning all about Cézanne, the french painter coined as “father of modern art”. With an emphasis on sensation rather than likeness, Cézanne bridged impressionism and cubism to influence a whole new era of art. Students will implement bold color as they depict a still life of oranges. Exploring familiar techniques like form and pattern, we will expand the class's comprehension as our focus shifts from realism to expression, broadening the use of their artistic skills. Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-6 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes throughout the school-year! Join us on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday each week... or whenever it's convenient for you! We do the same project each of those days for each week, and then something new for the next week! Dress for a mess! Please! We use acrylic paints and sometimes they are difficult to remove from clothes!
