What your child’s day will look like
Move, sing and dance with Teacher Jamaica in Lafayette Park. Our Baby Music Classes for infants and young toddlers provide an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During these classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking. Most of our staff has extensive background in Early Childhood Education, intentionally exposing children to a rich variety of language, beats, and sounds while remaining developmentally appropriate. Our programs offer a joyful and rewarding experience for both adults and children, providing a great occasion for babies to interact with other babies and parents to meet other parents. This session, our curriculum will focus on Gardens, Bugs, Flowers and African Animals! Tuition for the class includes equipment for each child to keep. No class Monday May 29th (Memorial Day)

Jamaica Stevens
Instructor
Jamaica Stevens is a teacher, entrepreneur, speaker, published author and children's music artist and producer. Jamaica founded JAMaROO Kids in 2004 after teaching preschool for 7.5 years and studying the performing arts since childhood. Currently Jamaica leads a team of educators who specialize in creating and teaching developmentally appropriate enrichment programs for young children at over 100 schools, childcare centers and community venues throughout the Bay Area. Her work includes "The Vegetarian Cookbook for Kids" and "Yoga Adventure!," as well as producing the original children's album "Celebrate with JAMaROO Kids," which can be found on Itunes, Spotify and all major streaming platforms. Jamaica has taught over 10,000 classes to young children and has worked with over 100,000 children and families over the past 20+ years! She presents at educational conferences all over the United States and has captured the attention of over 2 million views on the JAMaROO Kids YouTube Channel.

Our first party at JAMaROO and it was so much fun! My son loves all of his teachers and was so excited to to see them all there at once. There were so many great activities (his favorite was the face painting!) and the best part was the music time with not one but two teachers leading it together! What a blast for the kids and adults alike.

Rainy Days/ Bad Air Days: If class can't be held outside due rain or poor air quality - class will be taught on Zoom on the same day and time as your scheduled class with your weekly teacher. An email will be sent that morning with details for the class. Refunds We do not offer refunds. If for any reason JAMaROO Kids has to cancel the class due to an emergency - we will credit you for the class or book a makeup class. Make- ups: We are now allowing two make-ups for missed classes per session. Your make-up classes must be arranged by the office and will be limited to the classes we have space in. Make-up classes do not carry over from one session to the next.
