Hey, I'm Skylar, and I hope I get to meet your family. I have seven years of experience in childcare, including three years as a teacher's assistant/student intern, and two years as a camp & after-school counseling/teaching artist. I'm particularly interested in academics, board games/card games, books, music, songwriting, theatre, and puppetry, and I love to teach anything relating to the arts! My favorite thing about working with kids is watching the moment the lightbulb turns on, and they get excited about a new passion. When I guide an activity and let it flow wherever the kid's creativity takes it, I am always impressed by the ideas and innovations they create! I'm most proud of myself for doing what I love and being able to encourage children to do that same, and finally, something that most people don't know about me is that I play the Ukulele! I have an Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, and you can see my other certifications and work preferences in the tags below. I work both full-day (8-hour) and half-day (4-hour) shifts in the mornings and afternoons. My schedule will show that I work from 1-5 pm by default, but you can request your preferred time slot when you register. And if you're looking for full-day care, be sure to add "Precare: Upgrade to Full Day" to your purchase. If you're reserving multiple days, make sure you add that option for every day that you would like full-day care. Although you can only reserve dates about a month out, if things are working out well, you'll get the option to extend my time with your family.
