What your child’s day will look like
Science is all around us! In Sensational Science, students will explore the world around them using foundational scientific concepts as their lens. The first weeks of class will focus on biology, ranging from cell structures to adaptations and evolution. Lessons in comparative biology will go on to explore evolution and adaptations through examining our closest living relative, the chimpanzee. In following weeks, students will delve into chemistry and the elements, including chemical reactions, color change chemistry, and the chemistry behind making and deconstructing slime. The final weeks of class will wrap up with physics, including the laws of motion and energy. Sensational Science is a great way for kids to dig into all things science and encourage their curiosity in the world around them! No class on 3/31. Holiday camp taking place.

Must be currently enrolled in 2nd grade or above. Must be fluent in reading, writing and basic math. We are a shoeless environment. Please make sure to wear socks! We have socks for $3. Cancellation Policy: We know that it is not always possible to let us know in advance of a cancellation, we appreciate that you provide us 36 h advance notice so that we may open up a spot to accommodate someone on the waitlist. We can accommodate you in another class if space is available. A credit will be provided prior to 36 h notice. Cancellation within 36 h of the start of class will be counted as attendance . Sick Policy: If a child has signs of any of the following: fever, runny nose (thick, yellow or green discharge), cough, ear ache, contagious rash, lice, impetigo, upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting, communicable diseases, they should NOT attend class. A child should be symptom free for 24 hours, and MUST be fever- and diarrhea-free for 24 hours before she/he returns to our program. STEMful has the right to send a child home or decline service if our polices are not adhere.
