Nanny with 15 years childcare experience looking forward to the next chapter.
| I was a self employed childminder for 14 years. I started Valley Childminding with a friend in October 2007 as we wanted to work for ourselves. Due to health reasons with my business partner we closed the business in April 2020. I'm a hard worker who loves working with children it's all I wanted to do since I was at school and I want to stay in childcare as I feel that's where I belong. Due to my childminding career I have plenty ideas for activities, not afraid to get messy, go out in outings, cook meals and do some housework when necessary. I live near the Western General hospital but cause I don’t drive I would either have to get public transport to your house or walk if possible. Will be starting lessons when it's safe to do so. Due to the pandemic I had to give up my last nanny job due to the uncertainty of the virus & the parents working from home. I currently work in retail but obviousy want to get back in to childcare as that's where my passion lies.

My experience includes overnight stays, for up to three days. I can create well rounded learning activities to keep everybody busy at home, and I am passionate about cooking healthy and yummy food. I personally feel that it can be fun for everyone to help out around the house, and putting on a playlist of upbeat songs helps to motivate everyone in my experience! I am flexible in hours, and with any preferences that you may have for your parenting style. Over the past two years I have been in childcare and other part time work in the summers, and I am studying Law at the University of Edinburgh during semester time. I’m a responsible but fun, outgoing and organised 19 year old who adores children!
| Hello! I currently babysit a 3 year old girl. My duties include picking her up from nursery, taking her home safely and entertaining her until her parents are home. I have babysat her since she was 1 therefor have learnt so many skills on how to properly take care of a toddler. I helped a mother with her children ages 2,3 and 5 while she broke her foot. I did drop offs and pick ups then helped with dinner/bath/bed time. I babysat a 5 year old for the whole summer or 2017. He has ADHD. This job taught me a lot on how to be patient and expanded my evergrowing empathy for others. During high school I was apart of JET which is a programme for students so they can learn what it is like to have a full time job. Every Friday for 8 months I worked at nursery and was taught many health and safety rules and how to care for children at a high standard. I helped children adapt their skills by reading, singing and teaching them basic things e.g sharing, counting, the alphabet. I also did work experience during high school in a nursery (2 weeks).
