Childcare in Penicuik

Hi, My name is Dani, I am a self employed performer looking to supplement my income with child care. Through my work I have had great fun teaching children to use circus equipment. I regularly look after two girls of 4 and 6 who are home educated, one with additional support needs. I occasionally care for a 16 year old with A. S. D. I have experience working with children in a variety of settings from family festivals to local communities. I have worked with all age ranges and have developed techniques to encourage whole family play. I completed an Arts from the Start course with Starcatchers, aimed at maximising opportunities for creativity in the early years, during this course I learned how to help children access their own creativity and reinforce their innate curiosity. I have a degree in English and Drama and I would be happy to tutor most subjects up to Nat5. I have a basic knowledge of BSL and would volunteer unpaid in a placement to learn more. I possess a good knowledge of baby sign language. As a mother of a teenager at high school I have managed behavioural storms and minecraft obsessions. I am currently a childcare development worker, working towards my SVQ3 in Childcare & Early Years Education. I have 8 years’ experience in working with children varying from babysitting, child minding, teaching, au pairing and camp counsellor. I have a sensitive and hands on approach towards working with children and have a strong passion for child development. As an individual I am able to establish and communicate clear objectives for all kinds of learning activities and also develop high quality and engaging lesson plans for all age groups, especially younger children. | I am a registered childminder with 15 years childcare experience. I have worked in a nursery setting up until 2016 when I left to have my daughter. I hold an SVQ level 3 childcare qualification and I am currently studying towards my BA in Childhood Practice. I live with my partner, daughter and our cat in a detached house with a private garden close to a large park. I offer a drop off and pick up service and can accommodate school holiday cover too. I provide a large range of toys, games and activities and have my own transport for outings too. Care provided from £4.50 per hour.

| I am a fully qualified sick children’s nurse working as a nurse there for 25+years. I am very experienced with children of all ages from 0-12 years, all aspects of child care. I returned from the US just over a year ago having been a nanny there for 17 years with a few families. I have all my references and certifications
