| I was a primary school teacher for 5 years, and am currently on a career break. I have experience of looking after my three nieces, who's current ages range from 4 months, 2 years and 5 years.

| I was a self employed childminder for 14 years. I started Valley Childminding with a friend in October 2007 as we wanted to work for ourselves. Due to health reasons with my business partner we closed the business in April 2020. I'm a hard worker who loves working with children it's all I wanted to do since I was at school and I want to stay in childcare as I feel that's where I belong. Due to my childminding career I have plenty ideas for activities, not afraid to get messy, go out in outings, cook meals and do some housework when necessary. I live near the Western General hospital but cause I don’t drive I would either have to get public transport to your house or walk if possible. Will be starting lessons when it's safe to do so. Due to the pandemic I had to give up my last nanny job due to the uncertainty of the virus & the parents working from home. I currently work in retail but obviousy want to get back in to childcare as that's where my passion lies.

| Hello! My name is Helene and I am an Austrian living in Edinburgh. I was an Au pair in London three years ago (children age 5, 8) and have experience with children of various ages. I support a "can do" attitude and believe children need rules, but also support in their every day life. I am currently waiting for my PGDE course to start (September 2019) and would like to work with children before that in order to gain more experience. I have been working as a tutor for several years and supported children/teenagers of different ages. Subjects I have experience in include: German (as a first and second language), English (as a first and second language), Classics (Latin). I believe that every pupil can learn and strongly support a "growth mindset" approach. Mistakes are a base for learning and everybody can overcome the fear of tests. | I have 4 years combined experience within childcare roles with ages 7-12. These 4 years involved a 2 year full time nannying/housekeeping role. I still work with this family ad hoc. I had varied roles and responsibilities over these years including general nannying duties, homeschooling, cooking, batch cooking, laundry, ironing, organising wardrobes/cupboards/rooms, home moves, and keeping the children engaged with activities and games. I also had a live-in Au Pair job in New Zealand for 6 months with a family who had a lovely 4-year-old girl who I helped with writing, the alphabet, maths, swimming, and lots of other sports. I helped with the morning nursery routine, cooking meals, cleaning, ironing, after school activities and adventures to the beach every weekend. I also used to coach 7-11 year-olds sports for 2 years from ####-####. I now currently coach under 10s and 14s hockey at a reputable private school Erskine Stewart Melville. If do this part-time as and have done since July 2022 alongside ad hoc childminding for a previous family. I am highly organised, efficient, and great at managing and helping with family life. I use initiative, have a great sense of humour, and make family life a lot easier.
