SPUMC Nursery School provides a rich educational program in an atmosphere of Christian love, learning, and fun. Our Maryland State Department of Education - approved program incorporates the Frog Street Pre-K curriculum, providing experiential learning in the areas of literature, social studies, art, music, math, and physical and social development. The small classes (12-14 students) are each staffed by one teacher and one aide, and our safe, secure, and beautiful facility provides the perfect atmosphere for students to learn, play, and develop the skills and confidence to prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond. Our school year runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day, and our vacations generally follow those of the Anne Arundel Public Schools. We offer half-day sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays for three-year-olds. For the 2017-2018 school year, we will offer 5-day and 3-day extended day and half day sessions for our four-year-old students. Our school emphasizes support of the family, and our very active parent group sponsors many family activities through the year. These include special programs, family movie nights, and a spring trip to see the Orioles or Baysox play. Registration for the upcoming school year opens in January and continues until all classes are filled. Children must have turned three or four by the first of September to register for our school. Additionally, all students must be completely potty trained and fully immunized by the time school starts in September. We'd love to show you our school.
