I am a mother, wife and Christian. I have a BS from Mississippi College and currently am a Nursing Supervisor that takes care of intellectually disabled clients in the home. I have worked in this field for 5 years. My current position is extremely rewarding, however; I love children and I feel that this is what I am suppose to do. I have always wanted to open my own daycare and this is the right time. I am also CPR certified, with First Aid, as well. I have lived in Florence my entire life. I am in a very convenient location inside the city. My husband is an RN at St. Dominic's and he has been there for 28 years now. We have 4 beautiful children, who are all in school. Class sizes meet Health Department regulations, we offer care/learning to children 6 weeks old to 4 year Kindergarten, Before and/or After school care (Steens Creek Elementary, Florence Elementary, & McLaurin Elementary) 5K to 6th Grade, all teachers are finger printed, background checked (child abuse), cpr certified and maintain continuing education in order to provide the highest quality learning experiences for their children. We belive the children learn through play. So our typical day consists of children making choices about learning centers and materials; and their teacher coming along side them as a facilitator for thier individalized learning. Children are assessed 2-3 times out of the year and parent - teacher conferences are held.
