Laugh N' Learn Daycare

I am prior military and understand the importance of having reliable and quality care for your children. I am a mother of four, ages 23, 19, 13, and 11. My family and I have been in the Stafford, Virginia area since 2012. We are CPR/ First Aid certified. We provide services for infants and children, ages 6 weeks-12 years old, I tailor my program to fit each child's individual needs. There is a routine we follow on a daily basis; I provided breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, and p.m. snack. I love kids and love having them in my home. I have excellent references upon request.

Philosophy
My family daycare home provides a developmentally based program in an environment designed especially for young children.
We work to develop caring, respectful, and responsive relationships with children from infancy though preschool by partnering with families to support a child s growth and development.
Respect for each child s individualized pattern and timing of growth, as well as individual personality, learning style, interests, culture, logic and family background are central to the fabric of daily interactions and the direction of the curriculum follows.
We support each child s disposition to learn while (1) facilitating it s learning and (2) fostering competencies in all domains, including intellectual, physical, social and emotional development.
We value the interaction between the individual and environment, seeing it as the basis for more complex learning and growth. Children come to own a newfound understanding and knowledge when it is integrated into their daily experiences and existing paradigms in active and meaningful ways. This social constructivist philosophy forms the basis for our curriculum and our emphasis on all aspects of the environment.

The schedule and space is structured to allow children to pace themselves and select activities based on their individual needs. Knowledge is not given to children; they learn through playful and meaningful interactions with materials and people. This means that each child processes experiences uniquely.

Mission

The mission of LAUGH N LEARN DAYCARE is to provide comprehensive childcare for children and families. The basic service that we administer is the care and education of children from ages two to four years. Within this care we offer teaching in all subjects from math to phonics, a safe environment and a positive, encouraging atmosphere for children to be in while the parents/guardians are away.
