Today we pulled our child out of Kids Incorporated and are very upset with the treatment both he and we received. When my wife went to pick him up around lunchtime she was told that she needed to sign an 'incident report' as our child had been bitten by another child. They didn't seem in any way concerned about this and as my wife tried to ascertain what had happened and what was being done about the biter she was fobbed off with 'privacy' rules and basically told that this type of thing happens and is not a big deal. She asked for a phone call from the manager so she could discuss it with her and was told that wouldn't be possible until the next morning. On my insistence the 'President' of Kids Inc. was contacted and called my wife whereupon the whole issue was compounded by her extreme rudeness. We were still not given any indication as to what was being done about this child (who had bitten numerous times before according to two of the workers there and their policy clearly states that recurrent biters will be disenrolled). When asked when we could expect to hear some feedback as to what was being done about the child in question this woman hung up on my wife. Such blatant disregard for child safety and lack of professionalism made us withdraw our child from the daycare immediately. At no point did she seem sorry, empathetic or offer any solution to our issue, just that she would investigate further, in fact my wife suggested that our child be placed in a different classroom. At home we noticed a graze behind his left knee and bruising to the back of his neck, all of which we took pictures of. Please beware that if this is the attitude of the 'president' to an upset parent of a child who was harmed in her daycare that this is probably not the place you want your children to be.
