Gramma's House is a family day care and preschool. Miss Tara has a degree in elementary education and has worked with children for over 40 years. She offers a child centered, hands-on curriculum that teaches children respect for themselves, respect for others, and respect for the world around them. Using fun activities and natural surroundings, children grow and develop at their own pace. Families are welcome to visit and/or volunteer at Gramma's House while their children are attending. Miss Tara believes that parents are the experts on their children and she loves to make the family part of the child's education.
Activities include experiences in language arts, math, art, music, science, physical education, and social studies - keeping in mind the child's age and abilities. Activities take place inside Gramma's Cottage and inside Miss Tara's fenced in yard.
Miss Tara has 2 cats and one very friendly Golden Retriever. Please keep this in mind if there are allergies. The pets are up to date on all of their shots, healthy, friendly, and tolerant of children.
Miss Tara serves healthy meals including breakfast, lunch, and two snacks per day.
