My oldest son, who is now four, had a very difficult time when I returned to work a little over two years ago. We placed him in a local Mother's Day Out program at another local church. But after just one semester he was asked to leave for behavioral problems. I was devastated but the director said he may just need more time and to re-enroll him in the fall. So we did just that. But only nine weeks in, my son was asked to leave yet again! I couldn't believe it. So my husband and I decided that I would resign to stay home with my son. Soon money became tight and I had to take a part-time position. This meant we needed to find a care facility for my son again. It was June, so the only option was a local daycare facility. At first things were great because he loved the two-year-old teacher, but they advanced him to the next room mid-August. The teacher was rude and indifferent, and even rolled her eyes when my son would come in. She even ignored his "goodbyes" when I would pick him up. I even witnessed her placing him in time out for over 15 minutes on the online camera system. Even though it was only two days a week, my son would scream and cry inconsolably every time I dropped him off. This was the worst experience for both myself and my son. So after 2 weeks, I found Faith School. I was relieved to find out they still had an opening for his age group and quickly enrolled him. It has been the best thing that has happened for our family. My son loves going to school and gets upset when they have days off. The teachers have loved my son so sweetly and were so patient with him during his transition and with his emotional outbursts. They truly care about each of the students! I love that you get direct communication with the teacher after each day during pick-up to get a report. And the class sizes are small with a low student to teacher ratio. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school, we will dearly miss everyone when my son graduates preschool.
