This role requires a reliable individual who is comfortable with administering medications, changing wound dressings, preparing meals, and providing general housekeeping. The ideal candidate should also be able to assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, with patience and respect. (He's pretty independent but may need a little help.)

Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Additional Information:
This role may require flexibility in scheduling and a willingness to work weekends if needed. The caregiver should be comfortable with a military background and understand the unique needs of a veteran ( he is quite stubborn and can have quite the potty mouth). A background check and references may be required.
The caregiver's primary goal is to ensure my father is safe by providing compassionate care and assisting him in maintaining comfort. He is quite unique and underneath his rough demeanor is a man that would do anything for those closest to him.
About the care needs: You have to have a since of humor and possibly some thick skin. He is quite a "collector". He would love to share and tell you about what he has but please don't allow him to "collect" anymore.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance. ... more
