Alyssa was amazing! I hired her to provide short term daytime care for my three children (12, 7, and 3) while we looked for a full time nanny. She managed virtual school work for my older two children, primarily my special needs 1st grader, while providing excellent care for my younger child. She followed the routine I provided and completed household tasks during down time. She was incredibly helpful with housework, it was a huge relief to have basic household tasks done when I came home from work. I would absolutely hire Alyssa again and my children adored her! Her management of my children virtual school work was impeccable. She created a daily list that detailed assignments and completed work, worked with my 1st grader to get through tough assignments that tried his patience, and encouraged him to be engaged and present during his zoom meetings. My 1st grader is physically disabled which makes it difficult for him to complete fine motor tasks, Alyssa worked with him to compete art projects and written work that are difficult for him, and made the tasks fun while encouraging independence on his part to complete them. She also assisted with his toileting/potty training routine. While managing school work for my older children she actively engaged with and cared for my (very active) youngest child. She kept him entertained, followed his separate routine and made sure he was well taken care of and continuously engaged in activities. Once we hired a full time sitter, Alyssa took the time to create a detailed care profile for my kids that we passed along to the incoming full time nanny. She included their routines, likes and dislikes, things that worked for her as a care giver for my children and basic management of our household. It made a huge difference in transitioning from one care giver to another and the immediate success of our incoming nanny!
