Nanny Share - Union Square/Chelsea/Flatiron West Village
By Nisha Y. on Tue Aug 4, 2015 at 11:12 AM EDT
My wonderful nanny will be available for half days, mornings and early afternoons (9:00am till 2:00pm) Monday through Friday starting mid-September when my daughter attends the pre-School.

I am so lucky we found Denise and will do my best to keep her involved in my daughter Sabine's life. Sabine LOVES Nice .

Nice is the most thoughtful and loving caregiver I have met - and I have met several caregivers, both for my child and others that my friends have employed. Denise is loving, respectful and kind but firm. She is bi-lingual and has taught Sabine her colors and numbers in Spanish and English. She shops for us and cooks delicious meals for Sabine; plans playdates (including games and healthy snacks for Sabine s friends who come over); takes Sabine on excursions everywhere - like to Central Park Zoo and Victorian gardens, etc. excursions she plans herself because she subscribes to newsfeeds on kids events in our area (union square). I don t know any other nanny that shows as much initiative and sheer joy for the work she is doing.

One of the things that struck me when I read Denise s resume is that she volunteers to help special needs kids learn to use the subway system. This is a woman who wants to work with children she is studying for a career in childcare and is using her babysitting income to pay for her education.

Denise is special. Many of my friends and other moms in my building have commented on how wonderful Denise is, so it's not just me :)
