Mommy's Helper (Sherman Oaks) We’re a family in Sherman Oaks seeking a warm, reliable Family Cook + Mommy’s Helper. The role is 50% cooking and 50% childcare/light housekeeping. Responsibilities include cooking healthy, kid-friendly dinners for a family of four, grocery shopping for fresh ingredients, keeping the kitchen tidy, light cleaning of kid areas, playing with our kids (ages 5. 5 and 2. 5) and helping with bath time and bedtime. We are looking for a nanny and home school teacher for our 8 and 9-year-old sons. You would be responsible for caring for and teaching the boys Mon/Tues/ Wed 8am-5 p.m. for minimum of 24-30 hours per week. If more hours are desired, we are open to more days per week or total hours. Duties would involve providing direction and teaching using a home school curriculum that we provide. Additional hours would be filled playing games, going on outings, and having fun! Reliable transportation is a must. Candidate should have at least have a high school diploma (some college is a plus), be a non-smoker, and be comfortable with a cat in the home. My son is 2 years old and has a lot of energy so keeping him occupied and being able to keep up with him is a must. He likes to go for walks in his stroller, to play at the park or for someone to play with him while he's home. He's not in school yet and likes to read books, watch movies, play with his toys or just have fun. He usually requires a bottle or his formula around 8 a.m. and a diaper change at the same time. He will stay awake or sleep a bit later it depends. His older sister and I will be working and will require some help making his breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
