We are searching for a part-time care attendant for a happy and easy going 34-year-old who loves to swim, listen to/make music, bowl, dance, and attend outings. He has cerebral palsy and some intellectual disability. He is primarily nonverbal (certain intuitive ability needed), and requires 1:1 assistance with activities of daily living, including: bathing, toileting, meal preparation, grooming/hygiene, and transfers. He is very mobile with the use of his portable walker. He generally has a routine weekly schedule and we are open for new and fun activities to try. About who needs care: - Mom has moderate dementia and is naturally a happy sweet person. - She enjoys watching game shows, dancing/singing shows, laughter, and some crafts. - Our family prepares meals for her in advance. - She is currently walking with a walker/cane and may need some assistance at times while transferring to bed and her wheelchair. - We need at-home assistance with evenings starting around 5:30 p.m. until about 7:30 p.m. for 3 nights a week and some weekend late mornings/afternoons each month.
