| I am a second year student currently studying at the University of Edinburgh. Although I don’t have any current experience as a tutor I achieved all A’s and A*’s in GCSE Maths, Biology, Physics and English. I have experience working with children after working in a nursery (0-5 year olds) and for a charity called CHV (8-13 year olds). I am a caring, enthusiastic and patient person and am confident in the subjects I am offering to tutor.

| My name is Hannah and I am from Nashville, Tennessee. After finishing a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Belmont University, I moved to the UK in 2017 to pursue a Msc History from the University of Edinburgh. After graduating in 2018, I substitute taught in a Catholic high school in Chicago, Illinois before moving back to the UK in 2019 to pursue a PGDE Secondary School, History degree and a Catholic Teacher Certificate from the University of Glasgow. I am currently living in Edinburgh with my Irish husband who just completed his PhD in Nuclear Physics from the University of Edinburgh. I have experience teaching/tutoring students ages 11-18 as well as ESL learners. During the PGDE, I taught first-third year students modules in History and Modern Studies and also worked with students on their Nat 4/5 exams and Higher History modules. I have experience teaching Scottish history, particularly the Scottish Wars of Independence, European history, including the Black Death and British Suffragists/Suffragettes, Irish history, particularly the Irish Civil War and the Troubles in Northern Ireland, and American history, including the American Civil War.

I am currently in my final year of my PhD in Integrative Sensing and Measurement, and have tutored a number of courses in the schools of Mathematics and Physics, primarily first and second year courses. I have a great deal of experience in Physics and Mathematics from my academic career, but have a good understanding of high school Chemistry, and achieved an A in advanced higher Biology. I am very passionate about science, specifically knowing how our body works, how we can be sustainable to avoid destroying our planet and about the universe and space exploration. About my professional experience I studied molecular biology, which means I have a strong background in hard sciences, after finishing my bachelor I spent a year doing research in breast cancer and then started working in the pharmaceutical industry for a couple of years as a scientific advisor in the marketing and consultancy areas. | I am Seiba an electronics and electrical engineering student at the university of Edinburgh. My passion for giving out the knowledge I have led me to volunteer for many literacy and charity organisations both in my country and the UK as well e.g. Eduspots, Oxfam and Save the Children. I love sports and I play football, volleyball and badminton. I really enjoy mathematics and physics which is one of the reasons why I am studying engineering at the university. I like coding, playing video games and also watching comedies.

| My whole life I’ve been juggling competitive sports and school/university, so I’ve learned firsthand the importance of understanding what it is you’re learning, and also the confidence boost you get when you’re finally able to solve complex problems. I help other young adults to do the same, and to realise that just because a subject is difficult, doesn’t mean you can’t do it. We can all learn the skills and approaches required to become good at maths and physics - but it does take practice and some effort - all of which is made easier having the right teacher beside you to walk you through it.

| Just moved here from Austria to study at University of Edinburgh. Used to do some afterschool care work and tutoring back when I was in school. I largely believe that interacting with students and trying to visually understand topics is easier than trying to simply memorize them. I encourage students to find solutions that are out of the box. Enjoyed working with kids a lot so felt like continuing with it. I did the IB in which I took Math, Chemistry and Physics as my higher levels. So I feel comfortable teaching any of those and others like English, Economics or German.
