A step-in service for childminder/nanny or careroror addhock cover.
| Hi I appreciate you are looking for a regular carer. (the service I offer is fundamentally ad hoc care ) or to help out until such time as you find the right childcare for your family. A step-in service for when your let down at the last minute, or just need (to cover childminders leave or the odd babysitting.). How it works is I come along and have a meetings with you. This gives you the opportunity to engage and run through what May be required, it also allows the children to have an introduction. For some clients they have arranged that out with add hock situation arising they engage one day a month to keep me connected with the family. Childcare is what I love!
| All I have ever done is work with children. From when I left school I went straight and done my childcare training then I went on to private nurseries then to sick kids where I works with children with complex additional needs. I was child specific trained for each individual child. It was challenging but every day was different which I enjoyed. After 5 years I went on to working at the royal infirmary in the neo natal unit. Where I work now as have done for 8 years. I enjoy it but feel it’s my time for a change.

I thoroughly enjoy being able to help people lest fortunate than myself and during my time at High School I gained a 50 hour volunteering award. As a sixth year commitment I spent 5 hours every week working with, and helping, autistic and disabled secondary school children with subjects such as English, Maths, Home Economics and Life Skills. I also got to teach a Portuguese student - for whom English is her second language - grammar every week for an hour. For work experience I also helped children with social, emotional and behavioural needs at a local specialist centre with their English, Art and Maths. This centre is a collaboration of social care and education which allows these children to be cared for and educated at the same time. These experiences were challenging but extremely rewarding at the same time. They allowed me to work in difficult situations, with additional needs assistants as well as teachers, whilst giving me the chance to use my own initiative working with individuals on my own.
