I was a self employed childminder for 14 years. I started Valley Childminding with a friend in October 2007 as we wanted to work for ourselves. Due to health reasons with my business partner we closed the business in April 2020. I'm a hard worker who loves working with children it's all I wanted to do since I was at school and I want to stay in childcare as I feel that's where I belong. Due to my childminding career I have plenty ideas for activities, not afraid to get messy, go out in outings, cook meals and do some housework when necessary.
I live near the Western General hospital but cause I don’t drive I would either have to get public transport to your house or walk if possible. Will be starting lessons when it's safe to do so.
Due to the pandemic I had to give up my last nanny job due to the uncertainty of the virus & the parents working from home. I currently work in retail but obviousy want to get back in to childcare as that's where my passion lies.

I am a Scottish Care inspectorate registered Childminder aged 45.
I have two young children of my own aged, 5 and 2. We live in a quiet culdesac, just minutes from Broughton Street. We have a large enclosed garden with playhouse and slides for children to enjoy.
I decided very soon after having my daughter I wanted to give up my professional career and work with children.
My daughter, being very sensitive had an upsetting nursery experience, and being unable to source a childminder locally I decided to pursue this as my own vocation and help parents with similar needs.
I also have lot of experience dealing with children with reflux, food allergies and intolerance.
Available Saturday mornings.

I am a qualified childcare practitioner with experience from babies to 12 year old children. I have a SVQ level 3 in childcare. I have worked with children since leaving school. Within this time I have worked in various settings as a nanny, childminder, after school practitioner, pupil support within a school and council nurseries. Over my years of experience I believe that I am a valuable person and able to work well to nurture children in whatever setting that would be offered to me . My name is Karen. I started childminding in July 2012. Previous to this I was an air stewardess for 14 years, looking after people young and old and for the past 8 years I have also been raising my own 2 children. I am fully qualified in First Aid and continue to take part in training to keep myself up to date with all aspects of childminding.
