convincing parent they need in home care

my mom, a widow since last year, is 72 and has progressive dementia. she doesn't believe she has it and doesn't want in home care. she can't figure out what they would do at her house. in all honesty. she just reads and watches tv and doesn't want someone else just hanging out there. what do i do. she needs help with meds, even though she says she doesn't. but i understand her not wanting someone there when she is just watching tv or reading, but what options do i have
