Becoming a teacher and mother were my two best life choices.

Caring for my aging parents was a no-brainer. When Mom battled cancer, I was there to provide comfort however I could, be it reading aloud, preparing favorite dishes or assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding or medication management.

And when Dad was diagnosed with a heart condition, but wanted to remain in his home, I became his live in companion/caregiver.

We spent our days playing cards, going to theater, lunching with friends, bird watching or sharing quiet conversation.

Today ... I am a fully trained PCA working with senior clients, who wish to remain as independent as possible in their own homes. My shifts typically run between 12 and 24 hours.
