Hi! Last year, I moved to DC with my husband, and decided to put my 7 year teaching career on pause to get acquainted to the city. Since moving, I've been substitute teaching, tutoring and caring for the children (ages 2, 4, 9 and 12) of two families several times a week, and I've loved every minute of it! Care giving started for me when I was 12, and continued on into high school when I had the pleasure of being a full-time summer nanny. Also, during holiday breaks and summers while I was in college, I worked with students ages 2-12 at a local day school and summer camp. All of my experiences with children have equipped me with the ability to problem solve on the fly, relate to a variety of personalities and simply find joy in time spent with children. I am energetic, honest and dependable. With the school year coming to an end, I am looking for an afternoon/evening only and/or all day Friday SUMMER position to add to the clients for whom already enjoy working.
