Mt San Jacinto College - Tutors

I am a junior in college with a 3. 8 GPA and a pre-med major. I have taken multiple college level math classes including trigonometry, college algebra, stats, and Calculus 1 and 2 and received an A in each one. I have tutored all levels ranging from elementary school through college. Also being a premed major I have a lot of knowledge with a variety of science classes.

I started volunteering as a special needs tutor for 2 years. I volunteered and worked at daycare and it required assignment help. Parents asked me outside of daycare to tutor their children. As well as recently I hosted homework/assignment night for children in my old neighborhood every week. Parents began to pay for individual tutoring for those children as well. I help with Math, Language arts, Art, etc.

I studied child development and worked with children for as long as I can remember. I am a stay at home mom with a 2-year-old and 11-month-old. I worked as a babysitter, nanny, private tutor, high school tutor and daycare assistant for children K-6. I loved every minute of it. If it's a nice day out then you'll probably see me and the kids out for a walk or at the park. If it's raining then we're probably inside doing crafts and reading. Lastly, I would prefer if your little one(s) could be dropped of at my home. Being a stay at home mom I have plenty of fun safe toys and fun activities. But I'm very flexible. I like working with kids because I enjoy helping them learn, playing with them, and guiding them through their different developmental stages. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I would help my mom take care of the kids in her daycare which were between the ages of 1-7. I also have experience taking care of infants. In my spare time, I like to read, swim, and travel. One thing you should know about me is that I'm bilingual, I speak English and Spanish fluently as well as read and write in both languages. My skills include coming up with arts & crafts ideas, tutoring, and organization.

I come from a very big family that didn't have much support so it means the world to me to give back to families that were in a similar position as mine was. I worked as a Behavioral Therapist for 1 year studying habits and enforcing learning based skills for children that are on the Autism spectrum. It was a beautiful job for me but I got very burnt out from driving to different homes multiple times throughout the days. I'm looking for something more steady and stable but with the same benefits!
