Seeking a kind, reliable tutor to support my 15-year-old son entering his sophomore year. He's smart, funny, and thoughtful, but also on the autism spectrum and managing chronic IBS, which leads to frequent absences.
Wd are not looking for subject matter experts--just someone who can help him stay on track academically. Ideal, in-person support includes:
Helping him catch up on missed work
Pacing multi-day assignments
Prompting him to ask clarifying questions
Ensuring assignments are completed and submitted
He works best with calm, encouraging adults who can provide structure and accountability without pressure. We request a reasonable degree of flexibility for health-related schedule changes. This could be a great fit for someone with experience in special needs, executive functioning coaching--or simply someone organized and patient.
