We are looking for a tutor or educationally oriented carer to work with our academically-able and hard-working, yet highly disabled, son. His education is a mix of online courses, projects, and therapy, with strong intellectual drive. The role includes: 1) Supporting all academic work and therapy exercises, taking into account his fluctuating physical capabilities. 2) Supporting visual and physical access to all materials 3) Identifying access barriers, work with the therapy team to address, and ensure strategies are trialled and implemented 4) Providing physical support when necessary, e. g. when reading braille or doing complex typing 5) Working with all members of the wider team: teacher of the visually impaired (TVI), OT, PT, SLP ect.
