My 16-year-old daughter and I are looking for someone who can help her develop a system and strategies to help her keep track of her assignments in class, know what she needs to finish when she gets home, and catch up on missing assignments. We are thinking 1-2 days a week after she gets back from sports practice in the evening. She is a delightful, funny, creative person who loves fashion, makeup, hair care/styling, and Broadway musicals. She struggles to find motivation and use strategies to help her stay focused and complete her schoolwork on time. She would prefer to work with someone other than me :), ideally who is part of or is a strong ally of the LGBTQ+ community, who would understand her love of hair and makeup (or like to learn about it), and meet her where she is and work together to create strategies she can use.
