We are seeking a warm, knowledgeable, and reliable tutor with specialized training in structured literacy to work one-on-one with a bright, motivated 2nd grade student diagnosed with dyslexia. This student is eager to learn and responds well to engaging, systematic instruction tailored to their learning style. The ideal candidate will have experience with evidence-based reading programs such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, SPIRE, or a similar structured literacy approach. This part-time role involves working with the student a few times per week after school to support literacy development, including phonological awareness, decoding, encoding, fluency, and comprehension.
Tutoring would take place for 1 hour, ideally 3x/week. Min. pay of $45, increase with specific certifications (e. g. IMSLEC or LETRS)
